Stop whining, you already have it!

We all search for meaning, purpose – yes, we all look for life! Some claim that true life can be found inside of us, we just need to dig deep enough. Others believe that life is truly found when you get enough money to make your dreams come true. Many Christians claim to have found life, yet they often go around unsatisfied looking for further satisfaction. With this in mind it is very interesting to read the words of the Apostle Peter as he writes his introduction to his second letter.

2.Peter.1:2-3 „Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, according as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue

These words might seem hard to understand, and we often continue reading without really digging into what he means. Read the verse once more and then maybe once more again. What does it say about life? It says that through the knowledge of Jesus (who has called everyone) we are given ALL that pertain to life and godliness.

  1. You are called to glory and virtue (by Jesus)
  2. As you accept Him, believe in Him you become a new person
  3. His divine power has given you everything you need in that new life

If you do not know Jesus yet, invite him into your life. Speak to him, read the Bible, find a church and get some help in your new life. As you start a new life, God will give and has given you everything you need to live a life in satisfaction and happiness.

Christians, it is in you! The power to live a godly life and life itself is inside of you, through Gods Holy Spirit. You have it! God gave it to you the day you repented from your selfish life, and placed Jesus in the first place. Believe in it, trust it, confess it, and start living like it. Do not look upon what you lack, and do not complain… realize that God has given you everything that you need already.
